Windermere does not have a major new home market unlike its neighbor to the west, Winter Garden. Windermere is pretty close to built out to capacity and many are being pushed into buying lower-priced dated properties and investing hundreds of thousands, if not millions into complete remodels. Drive down any established street and you will spot a dumpster or two in the driveways.
Windermere real estate is completely fine, and I cannot recall a stronger luxury market in my almost 3 decades of selling in the area.
